Did you vote today?

So today I voted. I almost missed out due to just being lazy. I called last night at 4:55 to CalVoter to see if I was in the system (office closes at 5). I just assumed that I could go anywhere. I found out that I was actually still registered as living at the Fillmore Center so I had to go there. I definitely want to see Obama in '08 but I came close to flaking. It was not until a friend asked me if I was going to vote. In the conversation he said that I was lucky. I respond why? He then said b/c he was not a US citizen. It honestly made me think (Yes, I can think AND READ!)that I am pretty lucky to have a say in this country. So many people are either too lazy or feel that their votes will not count and don't go to the polls. As I was driving today I realized that while it may be slightly inconvenient it is something that people faught long and hard for and that it is my responsibility to get out there and be counted. So yeah I did it...Did you?
